What we need
- Business name exactly as you trade under it
- Street address, city, state and ZIP
- Phone number — required. We do not publish a listing nobody can ring.
- Website, if you have one
- What you actually do — residential repair, installation, openers, commercial, or some mix
- State licence number if you are in California, Florida, Arizona, so we can verify it
What happens next
We check the business is real and currently trading, and that garage door work is genuinely what it does — this is not a general contractor directory. If you are in a state that licenses the trade and you give us a licence number, we look it up on the state register. If it matches an active record, the listing gets a ✓ State licence verified badge and shows the date we checked.
That badge means one thing only: the number matched the register on that date. It is not a statement about your work, your insurance or your pricing, and our editorial guidelines say so on the record.
If your city currently has fewer than three listings, your listing is held until it reaches three and then publishes automatically. Thin city pages hurt everyone on them, so we would rather wait.
What we will not do
- Sell you placement, ranking, a badge, or removal of a competitor
- Publish review scores or star ratings — we do not have a source we are allowed to republish
- Publish a "24/7" claim as verified opening hours. If you advertise round-the-clock service on your own site, the wording will be "advertises 24/7".
- Charge you anything, ever, for the listing
