Garage doors, honestly priced

Find out what it should cost, then find someone to do it

A snapped spring on a Sunday is a bad time to be guessing at prices. GarageDoorProHQ publishes what each garage door job actually costs in 2026, then lists the companies operating in your city — with no paid placement and no ratings we cannot stand behind.

What a listing here means

Listings are compiled from public and openly licensed business data. A listing is not a recommendation.

In California, Florida and Arizona — the only three states that license garage door work as its own trade — some listings carry a verified licence badge. We check licence numbers against the state register; we do not inspect workmanship. Everywhere else there is no state garage door register to check, and we say so on the page rather than implying a check we did not make.

We publish no star ratings and no opening hours, because no data source we are legally allowed to republish contains them. Our editorial guidelines explain both in full.

If a spring has snapped

Leave the door closed and stop pressing the opener button — with the spring gone, the opener is trying to lift the door's full weight on its own, and that turns one repair into two.

Do not attempt the replacement yourself. A wound torsion spring holds enough stored energy to cause serious injury. Here is why, in detail.
